Kenya: Gospel Singer Ben Cyco Mourning His Sister

Ben Kariuki, a renowned gospel singer and former member of Christ Cycos, is in mourning following the death of his sister Joy Wairuri.

According to reports, Joy was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in late 2018 and had been undergoing treatment since then.

Ben Cyco took to social media to express his grief and pay tribute to his sister, saying, "Joy, you fought well. You fought a good fight. I remember when cancer relapsed and I had to break the news to you, we made a promise to each other that we would fight all the way to the end, and you did sis, you fought hard."

He also shared a heartfelt message, "Though I'm sad, I'm at peace with the fact that your faith in God was unshaken and now you are in Heaven, you are in a better place Joy. Rest In Peace baby sis, We Shall meet again."

Ben Cyco had been actively involved in raising funds for his sister's medical treatment, including a bone marrow transplant, which was estimated to be expensive.

He had also shaved his head in solidarity with his sister, who had lost her hair during chemotherapy sessions in India.

Ben Cyco's efforts to raise awareness and funds for his sister's treatment had garnered support from the public, with many people contributing to her medical appeal.
