Asian Community in Kisumu County Offers Aid to Flood-Affected Families ¶
Heavy downpours in the region led to devastating floods in Kisumu County, displacing many families and leaving them in need of assistance.
Fortunately, the Asian community in the former Nyanza Province has stepped in to offer aid to those affected. According to reports, the community distributed foodstuff, sanitary supplies, and equipment to protect civilians from contracting COVID-19.
Due to the impassable roads caused by the floods, the distribution of supplies had to be carried out by motor and tag boats hired from the shores of Lake Victoria.
The residents of the affected areas were overjoyed by the selfless efforts of the Asian community, with many expressing their gratitude for the assistance.
The Provincial administration officials were quick to thank the Asian community for their efforts, praising their selflessness and commitment to assisting humanity in times of need.
