As Kenyans seek alternative ways to sustain their energy needs amid consistent power blackouts, d.Light Solar has issued a warning against counterfeit solar products.
According to Managing Director Alex Olum, there has been an increase in reports of counterfeit products as Kenyans embrace the work-from-home formula and children are at home continuing with their studies.
Olum emphasized the importance of getting genuine solar products, citing the reduced price of the S3, a reading light, which is now retailing at Ksh 450, down from Ksh 725.
He advised Kenyans to be cautious of greedy business people selling counterfeit products, saying, "Our products are affordable to all Kenyans with the S3 which is a reading light now retailing Ksh 450, down from Ksh 725."
Additionally, National Sales Director Paul Mumo announced flexible payment plans to cushion customers during power outages due to floods and heavy rainfall, stating that their products are available countrywide and their shops will remain open even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
