On Saturday night, a violent scuffle between Vigilance Shighi and her boyfriend, Edward Okello, ended in tragedy. Edward, a 33-year-old airplane engineer at JKIA, was stabbed in the chest by Vigilance, a 29-year-old woman.
According to a police report filed at Buruburu Police Station, the incident occurred at their residence in Umoja 2, zone 8 plot no.5961 ground floor.
As Vigilance narrated the events leading up to the incident in a video, she claimed that Edward started beating her and hitting her, prompting her to defend herself with a cup. However, she denied knowing who wielded the knife first.

Police officers who responded to the scene arrested Vigilance immediately, and she was taken into custody. The body was moved to Mama Lucy Kibaki hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy.
