Published on May 11, 2020, China has reported 17 new cases of coronavirus, sparking concerns about the resurgence of the deadly virus.

Out of the 17 new positive cases, 5 were reported in Wuhan city, which was the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak.

However, it's the 11 new cases in Shulan city that have raised eyebrows, as all of them were linked to a laundrywoman who infected her husband, sisters, and other family members.

What's more alarming is that none of the 11 new patients had a recent history of travel, suggesting that the virus may have been spreading locally.

As a result, the Chinese authorities have taken swift action, closing all public places in the city and advising residents to stay at home.

Public transport has also been suspended, and the city has been classified as high-risk.

The news has sent shockwaves on Chinese social media, with many citizens speculating about how the woman contracted the virus.

Some Chinese nationals in the city have expressed their worries about the virus drawing closer and closer each day.

Shulan city is located in Jilin province, which shares a border with North Korea, a country that claims to have not reported any positive cases of coronavirus.

However, many observers have accused North Korea of covering up the outbreak of the virus.
