Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol have built a reputation for their energetic stage performances and hit music, but it seems they have a secret life as party animals.

According to South African rapper Sho Madjozi, who appeared on NTV's The Trend show, Sauti Sol love to party and when they do, the results are always chaotic.

Sho Madjozi made the revelation while sharing her experience of working with Sauti Sol on their disco hit song Matanga, which was used as the soundtrack for the Netflix series Queen Sono.

“… One day they called me to the studio, they are so creative, they love writing, just like I do, and we made the track. But wow! Sauti Sauti do turn up. Those guys how they party (sic). I think Kenyans have this unique way of turning up its crazy,” a visibly bemused Sho Madjozi said.

Sho Madjozi, who celebrated her 28th birthday on Saturday, also revealed that she prefers flying to Nairobi whenever she feels like having a good time, praising the city's partying culture as 'like no other'.
