On May 10, 2020, Radio Africa Group issued a statement addressing allegations of endorsing politicians, which had been circulating in the media.

According to the company, it has consistently maintained a neutral stance in the past 20 years, choosing not to exercise its right as a corporate citizen to endorse any political candidate.

Radio Africa Group's commitment to unbiased journalism has made it a thorn in the side of many politicians, and the company has no intention of changing its approach.

As the company stated, 'We are committed to supporting a good-for-business government, which respects freedom of the press and total fidelity to Kenya's Constitution and the rule of law.'

Radio Africa Group's ownership structure has undergone changes in the past, with Time Media, a major South African media business, acquiring 49% of the company in 2014.
