Kenya's Ministry of Health has announced a significant update in the country's coronavirus situation. As of Sunday, May 10, 2020, the total number of positive cases in Kenya has risen to 672, following the confirmation of 23 new cases.

During a press conference on Sunday, Health Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Rashid Aman revealed that the ministry has recorded the highest number of recoveries since the country was hit by the deadly coronavirus on March 13. The number of total recoveries in Kenya has risen from 207 to 239.

According to the CAS, Nairobi, Kilifi, and Mombasa counties are the most hit by the pandemic. In response, the government has imposed travel cessation in the most affected estates, including Old town in Mombasa and Eastleigh in Nairobi.

On a separate note, over 160 Kenyans who were stranded in China arrived in Nairobi earlier today, marking a significant development in the country's efforts to combat the pandemic.
