World Vision Boosts Covid-19 Fight in Homa Bay County

On May 8, 2020, World Vision donated medical equipment worth Sh 890,000 to Homa Bay County government to enhance the fight against Covid-19 in the region.

The donation included 2000 facemasks, 400 gloves, 10 Lab set sprayers, 33 Bin liners, and eight thermometers, which were handed over to Rachuonyo North Sub County medical Officer of Health Dr. Britton Odundo.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Project Officer Charles Komole stated that some of the equipment would be distributed to Homa Bay County referral, Suba South, and Rachuonyo North Sub Counties.

Dr. Odundo, Rachuonyo North Sub County MOH, commended World Vision for the donation and assured them that the equipment would be used for its intended purpose.

He also highlighted the challenge of face masks in rural health facilities, affecting both medics and patients.
