Emmy Kosgei's recent comments about Kalenjin men have sparked a heated debate, with many taking to social media to share their thoughts.

Speaking in an interview, Emmy stated,

“THERE IS NO KALENJIN MAN WHO CAME TO ME AND TOLD ME THEY WANT TO MARRY ME. THIS IS WHY SOMETIMES ONE SEES SOMETHING IS GOOD BUT FAILS TO SPEAK UP.”

However, not everyone agrees with Emmy's assessment. Many Kalenjin men have come forward to share their reactions, with some defending Emmy's right to express her opinions and others criticizing her for making blanket statements about their community.

Joshua Willies Angel, for example, praised Emmy for being frank and honest in her comments, while Godwin Kiprono argued that the blanket condemnation of Kalenjin men was unfair and unnecessary.

Others, like Chebitok Blessed Binnie, pointed out that being single is not a crime and that there are many reasons why someone may choose not to get married. Binnie also suggested that Emmy's comments were an attempt to justify herself as a psychologist.

Meanwhile, Oriop Langat argued that Emmy should have simply apologized for her slip of the tongue and moved on, rather than stirring up controversy.

As the debate continues, it's clear that opinions on the matter are divided. One thing is certain, however: Emmy Kosgei's comments have sparked a lively discussion about marriage, culture, and community.
