On Mother's Day, Kenyan artiste Kush Tracey took to social media to express her heartfelt gratitude to her mother in a touching open letter.
As she reflected on the special bond they share, Kush thanked her mum for being a true friend, a good listener, and a trusted advisor.
‘I want to appreciate my mommy for putting up with me all through the highs and the lows – the love of my life. My best friend, my big sister, my galfie, my support system, my prayer partner, my defender on social media streets, my therapist when everything is falling apart.'
Kush also praised her mum for loving her with all her flaws, listening to her whining without tiring, and putting perspective in her mind.
‘The one person who listens to my whining without tiring and puts perspective in my mind. Loves me with all my flaws entirely and doesn’t hold my past against me.'
As she looked forward to the future, Kush wished her mum good health and a long life to see her grandchildren and help her raise them.
‘May God keep you long enough to be able to enjoy the fruits of my labor and treat you like the queen you are. May He keep you long enough for me to turn your sorrows into triumph.'
With a deep sense of love and appreciation, Kush concluded her letter by telling her mum, 'I LOVE YOU MY FIRE MOMMA! Pamoja hadi mwisho mtu wangu wa power.'
