On May 10, 2020, blogger Dennis Itumbi raised concerns over the disappearance of Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, sparking a series of questions about the legislator's whereabouts.

According to Itumbi, a phone call from a high-ranking official may have led to Kuria's alleged arrest, which was allegedly ordered during a meeting attended by Nairobi MPs at Harambee House.

Itumbi further alleged that the phone call was made in the presence of the legislators, ordering the arrest of Kuria and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.

He has since asked the government to provide details on Kuria's detention, if he was indeed arrested.

Itumbi's concerns come after Kuria went missing on Friday, May 8, 2020, following a visit to evicted residents in Kariobangi, Nairobi. Kuria's online presence has been rare since then, sparking fears about his safety.
