Kenya's Covid-19 Cases Rise to 649

On May 9, 2020, Kenya's Ministry of Health announced a significant increase in Covid-19 cases, bringing the total to 649.

According to Health CAS Dr Aman Rashid, the new cases were recorded after testing 1,611 samples in the last 24 hours.

The new patients include 24 Kenyans and four Tanzanians, with a total of 31,041 samples tested since the first case was reported.

The new cases were recorded in various counties, including Mombasa (10 cases), Nairobi (9 cases), Kajiado (3 cases), Migori (1 case), and Homa Bay (1 case).

Unfortunately, one death was also recorded in Mombasa, bringing the total number of fatalities to 30.
