As the COVID-19 pandemic took its toll on Nairobi, spirits were low in many households. In a bid to lift the mood, I decided to find the perfect romance movie and pair it with some delicious food. While browsing online, I stumbled upon The Bastard Baker, a bakery with a bold name and an even bolder selection of pastries.

The package was delivered on time, and unboxing those pastries brought immense joy to my household.
Each pastry was a delight to the taste buds, with the ultra-soft brioche donuts, mind-bending salted caramel brownies, and the perfect balance of crunch and chewiness in the PAB cookie. The mini monsta cookie lived up to its name, with a crunchy exterior and a puffed body.
