As the pandemic drags on, essential workers are still receiving a steady income, but for many, it's a far cry from what they're used to. The struggle is real, and sacrifices have been made – from cutting back on whisky to putting off car maintenance.

But when it comes to shopping, things can get complicated. A man's quarantine partner has a clear idea of what she wants, and she's not afraid to splurge. The problem is, she's not just buying for herself – she's buying for the whole household, and her budget is...well, let's just say it's not exactly what it used to be.

As they walk through the supermarket, she's carefully selecting each item, making sure to get the best deals. But when it comes time to pay, the total comes as a shock. The cashier is beeping away, asking if they want to add more items to the total, and the man is left wondering how much stuff 5,000 shillings can buy.

But his partner is apologetic, whispering a silent 'sorry' as the total comes in at triple the original amount. It's a moment of truth, and the man is left feeling frustrated and defeated. As they leave the supermarket, he can't help but think that the devil is a liar – and that shopping with his partner is not going to be easy.
