According to the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Rashid Aman, 922 samples were tested during this period, with the total number of samples tested now standing at 29,430.
Out of the 14 positive cases, 10 are from Nairobi, 3 from Mombasa, and 1 from Machakos County. The CAS said that 13 of the cases were picked out by surveillance teams, while 1 is from quarantine.
Breaking down the cases further, 4 are from Kasarani, 2 from Makadara, and 1 each from Umoja, South C, and Dagoretti South. Machakos County has also recorded its first case, and among the 14 cases, one is an 11-month-old baby.
Additionally, 34 health workers have tested positive for Covid-19, either directly at their places of work or indirectly.
On the other hand, the country has recorded 5 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 202.
Targeted testing will continue in various areas in the country, and CAS Aman has appealed to Kenyans to continue observing the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health.
He also urged Kenyans to welcome those released from quarantine after recovery, saying stigmatizing them is not a good thing.
Furthermore, CAS Aman confirmed that 237 Kenyans arrived last evening and were received by staff from the Ministry of Health before being accommodated in hotels at the government's expense.
