TV Personalities Face Backlash for Expectations of Husbands

TV personalities Jackie Matubia and Kush Tracey have faced backlash online for their expectations of husbands who are educated and empowered women.

During an episode of their popular show 'Chatspot', the two discussed the roles of a family man in the age of women empowerment.

Matubia and Tracey expressed their disappointment with men who expect their educated wives to act like housewives, sparking a heated debate on social media.

Matubia stated, 'So I go through, primary, high school, campus, up until Masters and PhD to come and wash utensils for you? Excuse me! It’s different!'

Tracey added, 'Mama, nowadays women, if a man can’t cook, if you can’t even go to the kitchen and wash your utensils, I don’t expect to arrive in the house and find the utensils you used, lying in the sink because you can’t wash them yourself.'

However, their sentiments attracted backlash on Twitter, with some men suggesting that this is probably why Matubia and Tracey are still single.

One Twitter user, @Kasungwa_, commented, 'Modern-day women wonder why their marriages are not working. If this is the advice you are listening to, trash it in the bin. This is a disaster waiting to happen.'
