On Wednesday, local NG-CDF in Kiharu constituency handed over new offices to National Government administrators working in various administration units within the area.

According to Kaharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, a total of nine new offices were constructed, while another four were renovated and are now ready for use.

The new offices are expected to provide a conducive environment for the administrators as they deliver services to the residents, with some chiefs previously using dilapidated buildings.

Ndindi emphasized the role of NG-CDF in the security sector, stating that they will continue building new offices and renovating those in bad conditions.

"The project was prioritized by locals, and we moved in to ensure chiefs and their assistants get new offices. The offices will also ensure security is beefed up and people's properties are protected," he said.

Additionally, the local NG-CDF is constructing police posts in areas identified by residents as crime hotspots, in a bid to boost security and combat petty theft cases.

Some of the locations that received new offices include Gikandu, Kiawambeu, Kambirwa, Gaitega, Kahatia, Kiria, Garu, and Mugeka.

Ndindi also highlighted the project's benefits, including providing locals with jobs, as all works were done by local residents.

As the MP called upon local residents to heed Government's directives in combating the spread of coronavirus, he emphasized the importance of complementing National Government efforts to enhance security at grassroots.
