Popular vlogger Xtian Dela, known for his online show Club Covid, found himself at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters on Thursday, May 7, 2020.

According to his Instagram post, Dela was summoned by the DCI, citing Club Covid as the reason for the visit.

“Just got summoned by the DCI because of Club Covid. Currently at the DCI HQ,” he wrote.

It was not the first time Dela had faced challenges related to his show. Earlier in the week, he had announced that he would not be airing Club Covid due to battles he was fighting behind closed doors.

“Hey guys, unfortunately I won’t be able to come back today or this week too. A lot is happening behind the scenes. Lots of battles being fought. Will keep you posted. Thanks for the support,” he said.

Club Covid had previously been at the center of controversy when a group of parents sued Dela in mid-April, alleging that he was broadcasting obscene material online.

Anthony Wahome Kamunyi, Morosi King, and Francis Karanja, through Ngungi Mburu advocates, had taken legal action against Dela, seeking to have him cease and desist from live streaming #ClubCovid on his Instagram page. However, Dela declined to comply with the order.
