On May 7, 2020, Nairobi's Eastleigh area was placed under partial lockdown, with police officers sealing off all roads leading in and out of the area.
Residents woke up to find 11 barricades restricting their movement, effectively cutting off the area from the rest of the city.
The move was part of efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the densely populated area.
