Sarova Hotels and Resort has ended its management of two lodges in the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, marking a significant change in the region's tourism landscape.
According to a statement by Managing Director Jimi Kariuki, the hotel will cease operations of Sarova Taita Hills Game Lodge and Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge, entities it has managed for the past 13 years.
“We announce that effective July 1 we will cease management of Sarova Taita Hills Game Lodge and Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge,” reads the statement.
Notably, Sarova Hotels has assured that all contractual obligations and commitments made about these lodges up to June 30 will be fully honoured, and a seamless transition will be ensured between the hotel and the owner of the two lodges.
