COVID-19 Cases Rise in Kenya, Total Now 607

Kenya's COVID-19 cases have risen to 607 after 25 new infections were reported on May 7, 2020.

According to Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman, the new cases are spread out in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Isiolo, and Wajir.

Of the new infections, 22 are Kenyans, one Ugandan, one Tanzanian, and a Chinese.

Eastleigh estate in Nairobi, which is under lockdown, produced the highest number of new cases at 9.

Seven patients were discharged after recovering from COVID-19, raising the number of people discharged from hospital to 197.

Unfortunately, three more patients have succumbed to the virus in Nairobi and Mombasa, raising the total number of fatalities to 29.
