On July 19, 2015, FKF Presidential Aspirant Nick Mwenda was seen with Gogo Boys FC during the Ramadhan Cup at Joseph Kang'ethe grounds in Woodley, Nairobi. Little did they know that the team would soon be getting a major boost.
Fast forward to 2020, Gogo Boys FC has landed a kit sponsorship deal from Pathologist Lancet Kenya. The company has promised a Sh550,000 aid to cater for players' salaries and allowances for three months.
According to Lancet CEO Ahmed Kalebi, the Covid-19 pandemic had made it impossible for the players to train. "We had decided whatever had been budgeted for up to June and July is usually a gap month but because we had cancellation of the season," he acknowledged.
With this new deal, Gogo Boys FC can now focus on their training and upcoming matches without worrying about their financial situation.
