The NSE 20 share index experienced a slight decline of 18.89 points, settling at 2041.22.
The banking sector played a significant role in the day's trading, accounting for 28.39% of the day's traded value with shares worth KSh 305 million transacted.
Equity Bank led the banking sector, with 4.5 million shares worth KSh 180 million traded at between KSh 39.00 and KSh 42.00.
KCB Group declined by 6.44% to KSh 39.25, with 2.3 million shares valued at KSh 93 million traded.
ABSA Bank also experienced a decline, falling by 1.79% to KSh 10.95 from KSh 11.15, with shares worth KSh 11 million traded.
Safaricom actively traded 6.6 million shares valued at KSh 192 million at between KSh 28.50 and KSh 30.45, accounting for 17.89% of the day's traded value.
The Bonds market saw significant activity, with bonds worth KSh 2.2 billion transacted.
