On April 21st, DHL initiated a crucial air freight operation to bridge the supply chain gap caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The international logistics company has launched weekly air freight services from China to Africa and the Middle East for organizations and governments.

With air freight capacity severely strained due to multiple flight cancellations, DHL remains committed to ensuring the delivery of goods and critical resources to communities in Africa and the Middle East. According to DHL Global Forwarding Middle East and Africa Chief Executive Officer Amadou Diallo, 'we remain committed to leveraging our capabilities, global network and customized solutions to ensure that goods and critical resources continue to reach people and communities in Africa and the Middle East.'

DHL, the world's largest logistics company, operates in over 220 countries and territories worldwide. The company delivers over 1.3 billion parcels per year and generated revenues of more than $68 billion in 2019.

As the logistics industry continues to adapt to the challenges posed by the pandemic, DHL's new air freight services aim to provide a reliable solution for organizations and governments in need of efficient cargo transportation.
