On May 5, 2020, a tragic incident shook the nation when Tecra Muigai, the Director of Innovation and Strategy at Keroche Breweries, fell off the stairs in a holiday house in Lamu, resulting in her untimely death.

Her boyfriend, Omar Lali, was arrested on Sunday and has been in custody since, with police seeking more information about the events leading up to the accident.

However, in a surprising turn of events, Tecra's family has now asked the police to release Omar, claiming that he has no case to answer.

According to Omar, Tecra had been drinking throughout the night and had fallen off the stairs, bleeding from the nose and ears. He immediately called his brother, who rushed Tecra to a local dispensary for first aid before seeking further medical attention at the King Fahad County Referral Hospital.

Despite his efforts, Tecra passed away a few days later, and Omar was left to deal with the aftermath. He has maintained that the incident was an accident and that he had not punched Tecra.

As the investigation into Tecra's death continues, the Keroche family's plea for Omar's release has raised questions about the evidence against him and the circumstances surrounding Tecra's tragic fall.
