On May 7, 2020, Churchill Show comedian Nasra Yusuf shared a shocking revelation about her past, revealing that she was jailed in 2014 at the tender age of 20.

According to Nasra, she was arrested and put in jail after her fake birth certificate was discovered, a situation that left her shaken.

She recalled the first night in jail, which was particularly difficult, as she didn't sleep the whole night and was left crying on the floor with one shoe as her pillow.

Her cellmates, who were mostly drunk, teased her, with one of them asking, 'If Muslims don't have money to pay for their jail time, who am I to be released?'

Nasra's mother was busy looking for money to bail her out, but the process was not easy, and Nasra was eventually released on a Ksh50,000 bond.

Despite the challenges she faced, Nasra has continued to thrive in the male-dominated comedy field, using her platform to confront stereotypes and change the negative perception of Somalis.
