Published on May 6, 2020, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has announced plans to sue the Principal Secretary (PS) in the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government, Dr. Karanja Kibicho, at a top international court.

The move comes after a long-standing feud between the two, with Sonko accusing Kibicho of interfering in his administration's affairs.

According to sources, Sonko is set to file a case against Kibicho at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, Netherlands, citing alleged human rights abuses and interference in his governance.

The case is expected to be a major test of Kenya's sovereignty and could have significant implications for the country's politics.

Dr. Kibicho has not commented on the matter, but sources close to him say he is confident that the case will be dismissed.

The ICJ is the primary judicial organ of the United Nations and has the power to make binding decisions in disputes between states.
