On May 5, 2020, Rwanda's Miva Noella spoke out about allegations that she broke up Willis Raburu's marriage to Marya Prude. The claims surfaced after photos of Miva circulated on social media, with many speculating that she was the reason behind the couple's supposed split.

However, in a statement shared on her Instagram account, Miva clarified that she doesn't know Raburu. She wrote, 'Hi everybody, I didn’t feel the need to reply to this but I am getting exhaustingly many DMs asking me about this and everyone deserves to know the truth. I want to let every Kenyan reading this know that I don’t know the guy twitter is portraying me to know. Thanks.'

Willis Raburu and Marya Prude tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony on May 5, 2017. The couple would have celebrated their third marriage anniversary on May 5, 2020. In a 2019 post, Raburu celebrated their second wedding anniversary, writing, 'STILL THE MOST PRECIOUS DAY IN MY LIFE. THIS DAY YOU SAID YOU DO, TO A CRAZY MAN WITH A DREAM, WHO DID NOT HAVE HIS LIFE TOTALLY FIGURED OUT AND ALL HE HAD WAS A WORD AND A BELIEF.'

Marya Prude also shared a heartfelt message on their second anniversary, saying, 'HIS DAY TWO YEARS AGO I SAID YES TO @WILLISRABURU AND I’M TELLING YOU IT HAS BEEN AMAZING.'
