Avril, a popular musician, has been keeping her two-year-old son out of the public eye, and she's recently addressed the question of why.
Speaking during a live session on Instagram, Avril explained that she wants her son to have the choice of whether or not to be in the limelight when he's older.
'I want him to have his own life,' she said. 'When he gets to the right age, 18 years old, then he can make the decision on whether he wants to be in the limelight or not.'
Avril also clarified that she is not a single mother, and that she is in a relationship with her son's father, although she didn't reveal his identity.
When asked if she goes to church with her son, Avril firmly said 'No way!'
During the live session, Avril also used the opportunity to raise funds for a good cause, asking her fans to send money to support her son's education.
Avril is not the only celebrity who has chosen to keep her child out of the public eye. Kate Actress has also made a similar decision, citing the harsh realities of the world as a reason for protecting her daughter.
