Bliss medical centre, an outpatient provider in Nairobi, has been embroiled in a racism scandal. Workers have come forward to accuse one of the directors, Dr Shalya, of poor management and practising racism.
According to the workers, the management underpays them and has embarked on a massive expansion aimed at luring patients to mint millions from insurance firms.
Furthermore, the workers claim that African staff are discriminated against in favour of Asian colleagues, who allegedly have dubious work permits and suspect academic qualifications.
Shockingly, Kenyans earn less compared to their unqualified Asian counterparts, fuelling the allegations of racism and poor management.
Dr Shalya, the director at the centre of the scandal, has not publicly commented on the allegations.
