Four years ago, Mzawadi, a startup, launched a cardless loyalty programme in Kenya, aiming to revolutionize how small businesses manage data and create incentives for customers. Naftali Nyabuto, CEO of Mzawadi, shared his views with the Standard Digital on what businesses need in hard times to stay afloat. 'It has been an adventurous journey that has taken our business to new heights and learning experiences like no other,' he said.
The company's products have transformed to align with clients' needs, with a philosophy that says, 'let technology fit into your strategy and not the other way round.' Mzawadi's loyalty and incentive programs span across various industries, including manufacturing, FMCGs, insurance, finance, retail, and hospitality.
Naftali emphasized the importance of innovation and trust in gaining acceptance and trust from big clients. 'Nobody can say no to an innovative product and a solution developed to change their businesses for good,' he said.
During the pandemic, Mzawadi has been adapting by innovating new solutions to help companies and businesses survive. Naftali believes that great innovations and leaders have always emerged from crises. 'If you let the virus infect your minds, it will distort and affect your capacity to innovate or be creative,' he said.
The company is set to launch a disruptive solution that will change how companies do promotions, restructure their route to market, and put a smile back to their clients during difficult times.
Naftali assured that the launch will be a social media event, with a live event for clients in various channels. 'We want to deliver a digital product through a digital platform,' he said.
Mzawadi's target is its client base, businesses from various sectors that are struggling with solutions to get back to the market.
