Published on May 5, 2020, Nairobi News reported that the postmortem of Tecra Muigai, the daughter of Keroche Breweries business couple, had been postponed for a second time.

Government pathologist Johansen Oduor explained to journalists that detectives needed more time to conclude their investigations before an autopsy could be performed.

According to Johansen, the postmortem had been postponed to a later date to enable detectives to examine certain facts, although no specific date had been fixed.

Tecra Muigai died after sustaining fatal injuries in a fall at a private house in Lamu Island, where she was staying with her boyfriend Omar Lali.

She was flown to Nairobi for specialized treatment but never woke up from a coma.

Detectives have noted contradicting information from Lali regarding the circumstances of Tecra's fall, with him initially stating that she fell off the stairs and later claiming the incident occurred in the bathroom.

Sources close to the family revealed that they did not approve of Tecra's relationship with Lali, who has since been arrested and is assisting in the investigations.
