May 5, 2020, marked a significant shift in the lives of many Kenyans as the government extended the COVID-19 curfew. For Babu Owino, a well-known figure in the nightlife scene, this change has brought about an unexpected advantage - a happier wife.

Speaking to Jalang'o, Babu Owino revealed that he is now home by 6 pm, a stark contrast to his previous late-night escapades. He attributed this change to the government's new strategies to curb the spread of the virus.

"I am a member of the usiku sacco, but Coronavirus got me home by 6 pm, and even my wife is happy about it," Babu Owino said in an interview. "The thing is, even before this, my wife and I used to miss each other all the time because we love each other so much. So when we meet at the end of the day, the bedroom work begins."

While Babu Owino's situation may seem ideal, many others are struggling with the new reality. The lack of access to bars and social gatherings has led to frustration, with some men resorting to violence. In the last two months, there has been a significant rise in domestic abuse cases.

Babu Owino also addressed the elephant in the room, DJ Evolve, in the same interview. He claimed that despite the controversy surrounding their relationship, they are still friends and nothing can come between them.
