Published on April 25, 2020, as the world grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic, many Kenyans are finding themselves in quarantine, leading to increased drinking at home.
With this in mind, here are five essential rules to follow:
Buy alcohol meant for that day or weekend to avoid overstocking and overspending.
Do not drink in front of your kids, as they may be curious and want to taste or emulate your behavior.
Store your alcohol safely, out of reach of children, to prevent accidental consumption or addiction.
Do not invite your drinking buddies at home, especially if you have limited space or young children, to avoid exposing them to potential harm.
For now, be your own drinking buddy and consider the timings and occasion before inviting others over.
