Are you tired of the same old tomato recipes? Try making batter fried tomatoes, a tasty and easy snack that's perfect for any occasion.

Published on April 25, 2020, this recipe has been a favorite among Eve Woman readers, and for good reason. The combination of crispy batter and juicy tomatoes is a match made in heaven.

Here's what you'll need:

  • 1kg tomatoes
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 egg
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • Oil for frying

Simply mix the flour, curry powder, salt, egg, and vinegar in a bowl until you get a light pancake consistency. Cut the tomatoes into slices longitudinally and dip them into the batter mixture.

Heat some oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the battered tomatoes for about 2 minutes on each side. Once they're golden brown, remove them from the oil and place them on a kitchen towel or serviettes to drain excess oil.

Serve with your favorite chutney or tomato sauce and enjoy!
