On April 22, 2020, the government repossessed a piece of land in Ruai that was illegitimately taken from Nairobi Sewage company. The land was found to be under Renton Company Limited ownership, with Patrick Osero listed as one of the directors.
DP Ruto's digital point man, Dennis Itumbi, attempted to distance the DP from the land saga by posting a list of the land's owners. However, this move backfired when Itumbi unknowingly revealed a long chain of DP's conduits, including Governor Waititu's wife.
As the public began to connect the dots, Mr. Kinuthia Pius pointed out that the list of Renton Company Directors included Kenneth Bolt and Kibagendi Osero, who currently work with DP Ruto, as well as Susan Ndung'u, Waititu's wife, and John Nyumu, cousin to Murkomen's wife.
Itumbi quickly deleted the tweet and made a rejoinder, admitting that he had been subdued and suggesting that the public discuss land ownership in Kenya. However, the damage was already done, and Itumbi's digital blunder had put him in more trouble.
