Kenyan football fans are abuzz with news that Gor Mahia striker Juma Balinya is being courted by South African club Polokwane City, a move that could see him leave the Kenyan champions just four months after joining.
According to sources, Balinya's representatives have been in talks with Polokwane City, with the possibility of a transfer in the next few weeks.
"He loves it in Kenya but a move to South Africa is a step up and a good one for all parties," a source explained to Nairobi News in April 2020.
However, the transfer will largely depend on the situation with the coronavirus pandemic, which has interrupted football activities around the world.
It's worth noting that several Gor Mahia players are currently unsettled after failing to receive their salaries for the past four months.
Before joining Gor Mahia in January 2020, Balinya had a successful stint at Police FC in Uganda, where he was the top scorer in the league with 22 goals.
