On April 22, 2020, Jubilee Insurance made a significant contribution to the fight against COVID-19 in Kenya by donating Sh30 million to the COVID-19 Emergency Response fund.

The donation was made in response to President Uhuru Kenyatta's plea for individuals and organizations to support the fight against the virus, which had claimed 14 lives in the country at the time.

According to Jubilee Holdings Chairman Nizar Juma, the contribution is part of a combined effort to combat the virus, and every Kenyan needs to take up the responsibility to protect their families, staff, and communities.

As part of its contribution, Jubilee Insurance also donated 100,000 re-useable masks, 10,000 nasal swabs, and 2,500 Virus Test sets to support the medical response to the pandemic.

The insurance firm will also be donating beds and other facilities to enable the setting up of 40 of the 160 bed Field Hospital facility recently commissioned by Aga Khan University Hospital.

Furthermore, Jubilee Insurance will be donating to other countries in the region, including Uganda (Sh70.6 million), Tanzania (Sh32.5 million), Burundi (Fr6.23 million), and Mauritius (Rs132,000).
