On April 22, 2020, Belgian top-tier side Cercle Brugge announced the departure of their coach Bern Storck.

The club, home to Kenyan international Johanna Omolo, cited Storck's decision not to renew his contract as the reason for the parting of ways.

Storck, who joined the club in October 2019, had a significant impact on the team, guiding them to retaining top-flight status this season.

According to Vincent Goamaere, the club's chairman, "We respect Bernd's decision and will now focus on recruiting a new coach, building the team for next season, and further developing the sporting strategy needed to improve the club and bring in top talent that will help us do better in the league."

Belgian football has been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the Belgian Pro League has postponed its decision to end the season and declare Club Brugge champions.
