On April 22, 2020, Kenyan music fans were treated to two new songs with the same title, '4/20', by two different bands: Beca and Boondocks Gang.
Band Beca's release is a chilled-out track made by Hamado under Naiboi Worldwide, featuring an indoor shoot location of a bedroom with just the two girls.
Caroline's verse in the song goes: "Quarantine Quarantine zone hizi social distance tings zinaboo, I can be your medicine ukiwa indoors, Leo ni 420 na mimi ndio form."
Boondocks Gang's song, on the other hand, features a slow mid-tempo beat with a colourful video setting, shot indoors inside a house with empty rooms.
Each artiste sings while holding an Elvis vintage microphone, accompanied by a slow tempo beat by Magix Enga.
One line that has caught the fans' ears is Maddox's line: "Western kuna wreso ya jogoo n azote zimenyanya ka kondoo."
The video features Boondocks Gang appearing to puff weed in almost every scene, giving off a high vibe.
