As the COVID-19 pandemic brings the Premier League to a standstill, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reflected on his team's incredible campaign, which was halted just as they were on the verge of their first top-flight title since 1990.
On April 22, 2020, Klopp expressed his optimism about the team's potential, despite their impressive 25-point lead over second-placed Manchester City.
"We will not change, that's the first thing, but whether we will be successful depends on what other clubs are doing as well because they have all the chance to improve things, do things better," Klopp told Sky Sports.
He emphasized that the team is not yet the finished article, citing the presence of fresh blood internally and the potential for improvement with the current squad.
While acknowledging the challenges posed by the pandemic, Klopp suggested that football could have a positive impact on the mood of the country, but emphasized that it should not be forced back into action prematurely.
