On April 22, 2020, a patient who had been diagnosed with Covid-19 at the Nairobi Hospital penned a heartfelt letter to those who took care of him.
Thomas wa Corona, the patient, expressed his gratitude for the medical professionals and all staff at the hospital, acknowledging the excellent and thankless work they had done to make his stay as seamless and comfortable as possible.
He also apologized for being a difficult patient, acknowledging that his behavior had added to the challenges faced by the medical staff.
