On April 21, 2020, Liaison Group, a non-banking financial services provider, unveiled a self-service e-portal that empowers customers to choose their preferred insurer when seeking services.

The innovative platform gives customers the freedom to make insurance calculations and compare costs from a list of competitive insurers, ensuring transparency in the insurance purchase process.

"Our aim is to give our customers unlimited access to their policy information whenever they need it," said Liaison Group managing director Tom Mulwa.

The launch of the digital platform comes at a time when companies are adopting remote work arrangements to curb the spread of coronavirus, and the local underwriting industry is under pressure to innovate and outpace traditional systems.

Through the portal, customers can choose products ranging from auto insurance to business insurance, with the purchase process taking a maximum of three minutes on average.
