Friendship in Action ¶
Kamene Goro, a popular radio presenter, has spoken highly of her friend Andrew Kibe, who has been a constant source of support in her life. In a recent InstaLive session with Classic 105's Mike Mondo, Kamene shared a touching story about how Kibe helped her financially when she needed it most.
According to Kamene, Kibe sent her Ksh 1000 to get to work, showing his generosity and support. She described Kibe as her 'homie' and a 'rider', emphasizing the importance of their friendship.
During the session, Kamene also discussed the societal expectations placed on individuals, particularly those in the public eye. She bashed the idea of living up to certain social standards, saying that people are expected to be perfect and meet certain expectations.
Kamene shared her personal experience of struggling to meet these expectations, particularly when she first joined KISS 100 radio. She had just quit NRG radio and was struggling to make ends meet, with an unassured employment and a court case hanging over her head.
Despite these challenges, Kibe was there to support her, sending her Ksh 1000 to get to work. Kamene's story highlights the importance of friendship and support in times of need.
