As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect Kenyans, Member of Parliament Babu Owino has been distributing relief packages to residents of Embakasi East, including sanitizers, cooking oil, and soap.

However, his efforts have been met with criticism, with many calling him out for misusing his position as a Member of Parliament. The criticism comes as Owino remains the main suspect in the attempted murder of DJ Evolve, who remains hospitalized after being shot.

Despite the criticism, Jalang'o praised Owino's efforts, saying 'My bro @he.babuowino is doing his part for the People of Embakasi! Thanks, bro history will remember you bro! A true leader is known during a crisis! Ask your leader what are they doing! Hapo kwa branded sanitizer ndio sijui lakini afadhali mtu ana brand na anapeana and people must know who is with them in pictures!! CONGRATULATIONS bro! Ruthless Focus!'

However, not everyone was impressed with Owino's actions. Anyiko, a PR practitioner, called out Jalang'o for endorsing Owino, saying 'Your brother is not a leader but a disgrace. This is his job as an elected member of Parliament. A position he has misused severally. So sad that we still support and even post such wicked people.'

Others, including top DJs Krowbar and DJ Hypnotic, also addressed the elephant in the room, saying that Owino's actions were hypocritical, given that DJ Evolve is still hospitalized after being shot.

As the case against Owino continues, many are calling for him to take responsibility for DJ Evolve's medical bills, which are reportedly increasing by the day.
