On a Friday night in April 2020, Nairobi was under lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with a curfew in place to prevent the spread of the virus.
However, socialite and businesswoman Vera Sidika was out driving at night, claiming she was on her way to a private party.
She shared a video of her friend enjoying a drink, captioning it 'Warming up before going out to the actual Party.'
But fans were quick to call her out for defying the government directive and putting her health at risk for the sake of social media.
When confronted about her actions, Vera Sidika initially denied attending a party, claiming she was just enjoying a drink with a friend.
However, she later bragged about the attention she was receiving, saying, 'Gave haters something to write about while in y'all bedsitter with 20 other roommates. One thing y'all don't know is that I enjoy this shit. I get so damn wet when you all write about me. Negative or positive, I dwell on that shit…more talk, more money for me.'
