On April 19, Africa reported 21,990 confirmed coronavirus cases, with 5,482 recoveries and 1,120 deaths.

Among the recovered cases is Chioma, Davido's fiancée, who has been a source of concern for the singer and their family.

On March 27, Davido announced that Chioma had tested positive for COVID-19, despite feeling fine after returning from London with their baby.

"Hey everyone! I came back recently from America after postponing my tour. My fiancée Chioma also came back from London recently with our baby. We had no symptoms and still both feel perfectly fine but because of our recent travel history, we decided to take ourselves and our all close associates we’ve come in recent contact with for the COVID-19 test on the 25th of March. Unfortunately, my fiancée’s results came back positive while all 31 others tested have come back negative including our baby," Davido posted.

Chioma is now back home with Davido and their daughter, who had been keeping strong for her mother during her recovery.

"Glory be to God. Chioma has now tested negative twice for COVID-19. Thank you all for prayers. We love you," Davido posted on April 19, announcing Chioma's recovery.
