On April 18, 2020, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe warned that more than 3.5 million Kenyans were at risk of contracting Covid-19 if they failed to adhere to government regulations.
Speaking during a daily press briefing, Kagwe revealed that almost every estate within Nairobi had recorded a positive case.
The estates that had recorded positive cases included Kilimani, Kawangware, Karen, Pipeline, Utawala, Mlolongo, Ngara, and Eastleigh, among others.
On Saturday, a total of 16 people tested positive for the Coronavirus, raising the total number of infections to 262.
Out of the 16 new cases, 15 were Kenyans and one was a foreign national, with no history of traveling and not from any of the quarantine facilities set aside by the government.
