Laughter is said to be the best medicine, but did you know that regularly roasting your partner can also be a key indicator of a healthy relationship?

According to a study conducted by Appalachian State University, couples who engage in daily roasting are more likely to enjoy a happy and long-lasting romance.

Researchers found that when partners poke fun at each other's quirks, they are effectively highlighting the things they love and appreciate about each other.

"When you roast each other's quirks, you are effectively pointing out the little, sometimes ignored sides to your personalities," says Laurel House, a celebrity dating coach and podcast host.

"Those quirks tend to be the things that you love the most about your partner," she adds.

Laurel emphasizes that the key to successful roasting is to avoid hurting or offending each other, and instead focus on having fun and building a sense of security in the relationship.

"The ability to laugh together playfully actually builds security between partners," agrees Jeffrey Hall, a researcher from the University of Kansas who has conducted 39 studies involving over 15,000 people.

So, the next time you and your partner engage in a playful roast, remember that it's not just about having a laugh – it's also about strengthening your relationship and building a deeper connection with each other.
